riends' Central School students find themselves in a world both challenging and supportive, an environment that encourages excellence in every aspect of school life. Friends' Central leads students through a thoughtfully integrated course of study that begins in the Lower School with an individualized curriculum and continues with an increasingly rigorous college preparatory program as students move into the upper grades. Our caring, demanding, and experienced faculty members help students to develop their intellects and learn to master the social and emotional concerns that arise as children grow into adulthood.

Knowing that a dynamic component of education is exposure to individuals from a variety of racial, religious, ethnic, and economic backgrounds, Friends' Central has built a diverse student body of just over 1000 students. On two campuses, students engage one another with their different perspectives, interests, and experiences while they grow in understanding and ability.

Our motivation for excellence lies in our Quaker roots. In weekly Meeting for Worship, in the classroom, on the athletic fields, on stage, or in casual conversations throughout each day, we inspire our students to respond to what is best in themselves as they recognize and learn from the best in others. Our commitment to excellence never compromises the need for treating each individual with respect.

Through challenge, encouragement, and independent investigation, our students discover and confidently develop their own unique abilities. They graduate prepared to pursue individual goals at the finest colleges and universities in the country and to contribute to a global community.
